Heavenly Wild Chicken

Tonight we had the most delicious dinner.  My mother in law has made this scrumptious dish for us before, and I can’t get enough!  She actually got the recipe from the cooks at work.  She works taking care of retired nuns.  The original recipe fed 200… this one will do nicely for 6-8 people.

This recipe is heavenly not only in its origination, but in its taste.  It is SO good.  But don’t take my word for it!  Make it your self!

 

Most delicious casserole EVER

The Recipe: Heavenly Wild Chicken

Prep Time: 30 minutes   Cook: 45 minutes

Serves: 6-8

Ingredients:

1 6 oz package of Wild and White Rice with seasonings (Prepare according to package, except substitute one cup of water for one cup of chicken broth.  Trust me, it’s worth it!)

1 cup Chicken Broth

1 10 oz package frozen french style green beans (thawed and drained)

2 cups chopped cooked chicken breasts

1 10.75 oz can of water chestnuts (drained and sliced)

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 8 oz can of French Fried Onions

Preheat oven to 350*.  In large bowl, combine all ingredients, except french fried onions.  Pour Mixture into lightly greased 12x8x2 inch baking dish.  Sprinkle onions on top, and bake 45 minutes- 1 hour. (When it is nice and hot and bubbly)
